Challenges in a workout provide just what their name implies — a challenge! In our Fit-N-Fun Bootcamp Edition, we think the Challenge Cards are the magic sauce of the game. The Challenge cards are fun, inspiring, and help players challenge themselves and opponents to compete/workout at their highest physical level.
Fit-N-Fun Games Challenge Cards

Exercise Challenge Cards
What is a Challenge Card? When players land on an orange challenge square on the game board, they draw a challenge card. Whether working out individually or as a team, all players stop what they are doing and perform the activity listed on the challenge card. Challenge card examples include performing the most repetitions of an exercise in a minute, holding a pose for the longest length of time, or the first to cross the finish line after completing a certain exercise.
The beauty of our challenge cards is that you can also compete against yourself. When I play the game/workout by myself, I challenge myself to do more repetitions, hold for a longer time, or race at a quicker pace than I have previously. My workout buddy, Sherry and I are very competitive with each other on the challenges. While we each have a few we typically win, there are quite a few that we both occasionally win (and we’re extra competitive with those challenges).
Winning/Losing the Exercise Challenge
When a player wins a challenge, they roll the dice and continue with the game. The losing player or team must complete an exercise agreed upon at the start of the game before continuing their workout/game play. If we play outside or in a gym, we typically have the losing player run a lap around the house/gym. When we play indoors, we typically have the losing player do 10 pushups, 10 sit-ups, 10 burpees or alternate between the three. One of the ways to vary the workout is to vary what the losing challenge player does. Other examples could include holding a plank for 1 minute, doing 20 Bicep Curls or doing a Bear Crawl or Crabwalk around the room.
Competition Increases Workout Intensity
Players tend to get competitive during the challenges, because they get to continue game play (helping them move quicker towards the finish line), and also because they like to beat their opponent. The larger the group of people I workout with playing Fit N Fun Games Bootcamp Edition, the more competitive I am with the challenges. In August we had a group of about 25 people playing 4 different games. The larger team with 10 16-22 year olds broke up into 5 teams with 2 players on each team. Their challenges lasted the longest, because they got really competitive. All of the girls are on some kind of high school or college sports team, and were in top physical condition. They really enjoyed the game, and said the Challenge Cards were their favorite part.
We are planning to create a Tik Tok account in the near future, and hope to challenge some of you with our Bootcamp Edition Challenge Cards. We will add this to our website once created so you can follow along in the fun and competition!
