Bootcamp can be an intimidating word to many people.  It conjures up images of military bootcamp where they get new recruits into tip top shape quickly.  In fact, the term bootcamp referring to exercise stems from the military bootcamp known as basic training.  Fitness or exercise bootcamp is any group physical training program that may be conducted by gyms, personal trainers or even done at home.  There are many bootcamp workouts on YouTube.  Our Fit N Fun Bootcamp Board Game is the first of it’s kind, and offers the same bootcamp type of workout in a game for maximum fun while getting fit. And like the military bootcamp, it is designed to get you into great physical shape quickly.  This is one of the main reasons bootcamp fitness has grown in popularity.

Typical Exercises in a Bootcamp Class

    • Mountain Climbers

Varying Your Workouts

It is important to vary your workouts.  Varying the exercises you do each day (or each week) prevents muscle memory from kicking in.  Alternating exercises is a great way to keep your body (and muscles) guessing, and it helps to build and strengthen muscle.  Fit N Fun Games Bootcamp edition naturally leads to workout variation.  A roll of the dice determines what exercise(s) you do, so it’s never the same workout twice.  Some days will be cardio intense, others strength or core intense, and still other days will have equal parts cardio, strength and core exercises.  In addition to building strength/muscle, this also prevents you from getting bored.  Keeping the workout new and challenging each day will naturally lead to motivation to continue.

Bootcamp truly can be a way of life, and our bootcamp boardgame is a GREAT way to get started.  If you are new to bootcamp, don’t worry.  We’ve got you covered.  Scan the QR code on the corners of our gameboard or visit our website for demonstrations on how to complete each exercise (including safety tips and modifications).  Our challenge cards are what make this fitness game challenging, motivating and FUN.  So, don’t let the tern “bootcamp” intimidate you; give our fun workout game a try.  You’ve got nothing to lose and much to gain (like health, endurance and strength)!
